Wolfgang Puck WPDRCR10 10-Cup Rice Cooker and Steamer
Wolfgang Puck WPDRCR10 10-Cup Rice Cooker and Steamer
This rice cooker helps you make sticky rice to perfection. Don't pay attention to the recipe on the bag of rice, but rather try pouring two cups of long-grain or medim rice into the non-stick bowl, and next fill the water to the two and a half cup line (the bowl has measurement lines on its sides). If you follow that recipe you will make fantastic sticky rice. In addition, the rice cooker shuts off by itself when it's ready to be eaten, and continues in warming mode that maintains the fresh state of the rice.
I was uncertain about purchasing this rice cooker since there weren't so many reviews online, but, other rice cooker-steamers in this approximate price range had very mixed reviews so I ended up taking my chances on this one here. It's fantastic! The rice cooks nicely, with no scorching and burning on the bottom at all. Additionally, the keep-warm function doesn't scorch the rice or cause sticking either. In addition, the lid and the inner part of the rice cooker are easy to take out, allowing for very quick and simple cleaning. It's excellent!
So for this price I'm quite happy with this unit. A lot of rice cookers for under $40 will have problems with sticking during the warming function.
