The Panasonic SR-G10G 5-1/2 Cup Rice Cooker and Steamer

Panasonic SR-G10G 5 1/2 Cup rice cooker steamer
The Panasonic SR-G10G 450-Watt 5-1/2 Cup Rice Cooker and Steamer is an affordable rice cooker that does a good job of cooking rice without a lot of bells and whistles. And for some people that is all they need, and if so the price of this unit is right! Its list price is only $34.95, and can found for even less at $29.95 from some online retailers.

It makes from 2 to 11 cups of cooked rice. The 5-1/2 cups in the name of the rice cooker refers to the amount of dried rice that it will handle. It is a very simple appliance to use. All you do is add rice, then add water, then turn it on, then wait for it to finish cooking. How simple can you get! It has a warming function that will last for up to 4 hours after the cooking is finished.

The rice cooker has a glass lid so you can watch the progress of the food cooking inside. It is also very easy to clean the inside of this machine. One of the downsides is that the handles are a little small, so I don't always feel secure carrying this, especially when it's hot and I'm wearing oven mits.

The Panasonic SR-G10G 450-Watt 5-1/2 Cup Rice Cooker and Steamer is a good little rice cooker for 2 to 4 people. It is not incredibly versatile like some more expensive units are, but for basic rice it's a good value.
