Sanyo 3-1/2-Cup Micro-Computerized Rice Cooker/Warmer
The Sanyo 3-1/2-Cup Micro-Computerized Rice Cooker/Warmer with Bread-Baking Functions is an upper-mid range rice cooker that originally retailed for $139.99, but can be found from online vendors at a discounted price of $99.98. It is a diverse rice cooker that can be used for rice of course, but also for soups, stews, tapioca pudding, and steel cut oatmeal with maple syrup and sliced apples, porridge, grains like barley and quinoa, etc. And my favorite aspect of it is its bread-baking function! Really, if all my other appliances broke down suddenly, I could make do with just this cooker for a while until I replaced the other machines.
This high quality unit with its multi-menus and various pre-programmed function settings, its handy LCD clock and timer, sturdy craftsmanship and truly non-stick bowl, rival the quality of the more expensive Zojirushi rice cookers. Zojirushi is still considered the top premium maker, but this rice cooker could just change all that, if Sanyo sticks to this formula.
It also comes with a 15 page recipe book so even dummies like me can learn to cook dishes simply and quickly.
The Sanyo 3-1/2-Cup Micro-Computerized Rice Cooker/Warmer with Bread-Baking Functions is a great high-end product at a mid-range price. It's a great value for money.
